Die International Academy for Diaconia and Social Action, Central and Eastern Europe, o.p.s (interdiac) (Tschechiche Republik), ist eng vernetzt mit der Diaconia University of Applied Sciences, (Helsinki, Finland) und der Charles University, Evangelical Theological Faculty (Prag, Tschechiche Republik).
Interdiac beschreibt sich selbst so:
»interdiac is a new Academy which is rooted in central and eastern Europe. It is developing new learning programmes, research and networking to meet the needs of diaconal and social action in the region. Starting autumn 2009, an innovative five month study programme has been offered. Interdiac has already 12 partner organisations in the region of Central and Eastern Europe, including the Visegrad countries, Georgia, Armenia, Romania, Serbia and others. The participants of the study programme come from the above mentioned partner organizations. interdiac is recognized a training organisation in the field of social services by the Czech Ministry of social Affairs. «
Michael Spott war von 2014–2017 Mitglied des Vorstandes der interdiac (International Academy for Diaconia and Social Action, Central and Eastern Europe) und überwachte die Geschäftsführung, deren Tätigkeiten und die Mittelverwendung.
Das Master-Ausbildungsprogramm qualifiziert Mitarbeiter in vorhandenen Sozialeinrichtungen für besondere Aktivitäten vor Ort, zum Beispiel in der Ostukraine, oder die Arbeit für arme Familien in Rumänien.
